Creative Movement - 1st Grade:
Ballet/Tap combo class per week
2nd - 3rd Grade:
1 Ballet/Tap combo class per week, optional 30 min Jazz class
4th - 12th grade:
2 Ballet classes per week, optional elective classes (Tap, Jazz/MT, Contemporary, Hip Hop)
Ballet
The Ballet curriculum at TADA is designed to encourage dancers to love the art form and discipline, whether they are just beginning or if they are aspiring pre-professionals. Through this structured class the dancers will learn the tradition and discipline of ballet, as well as body placement, flexibility, and Strength.
Jazz/Musical Theater
Jazz/Musical Theater is a high-energy class focusing on technique and musicality. There is a strong emphasis on fundamental training. Students will learn isolations, floor work, progressions, turns and leaps.
Contemporary
The foundation of contemporary is based in other traditional dance forms like ballet and modern. In this class, dancers learn to explore and broaden their movement quality and freedom of expression. Students will work on choreography, improvisation, floor work and other skills.
Tap
Tap is great exercise and improves rhythmic skills. Dancers of all ages and skill levels will enjoy Tap. These classes develop coordination, concentration, rhythm, and speed. Tap students are introduced to a broad range of standard tap technique to age appropriate music.
Hip Hop
Hip hop is another high-energy class, students will learn the basics of many street dance styles with combinations set to their favorite age-appropriate music. Students will benefit greatly from the isolations, strength and flexibility required of this energetic dance style.
